Three steps
Onboarding happens in the extension popup, not through this website.

Create or restore
Open the Yap Signer popup. Create a wallet or restore from 24 words. Set a password for the local vault.
- 02
Save the 24 words
Write the recovery phrase down and confirm three words. Yap cannot reset this. If the phrase is lost, the wallet is lost.
- 03
Fund the address
Copy the address or scan the QR, then send SOL. Unlock is required to sign. Leave signing on Manual unless a Yap site needs silent mode.

What Yap Signer is
A self-custodial Chrome extension for Solana bot wallets. It is not a general dapp connector and it does not send your phrase to Yap servers.
Create or restore
Generate a new 24-word wallet or restore an existing phrase. Creation and recovery happen in the extension popup, not on this page.
AES-GCM vault
The recovery phrase is sealed with AES-256-GCM. Unlock derives the key in memory. Locking or quitting Chrome wipes it.
Send, receive, QR
Copy the address, show a receive QR, and send SOL from the popup. Transactions are irreversible once confirmed on Solana.
Jupiter swap
Quote and swap from the extension using Jupiter. Quotes use public mint addresses, not your seed or password.
Search and charts
Token search plus CoinGecko market charts inside the popup. Market data providers never receive your private key.
Username and silent token
The master wallet gets an @adjective-noun-hex username. Silent signing uses a one-time yap_pat_ platform token on allowlisted origins only.
How to use Signer
From install to first signature
- Install Yap Signer and open the popup.
- Create a wallet or restore from 24 words.
- Write down the recovery phrase and confirm three words.
- Copy the address or QR and fund it with SOL.
- Leave signing on Manual unless the platform needs silent sign.
- For silent sign, generate a platform access token, copy it once, and paste it into Yap. Generating a new token destroys the old one.
- Unlock is required for signing. The private key stays in memory; locking or restarting Chrome wipes it.

The items below are not in Yap Signer today. Do not treat them as live custody, campaigns, or automated agents.
Custodial agent wallets
Later, a platform may mint up to five custodial agent wallets (-a1 through -a5), each with its own address and scoped token. They will not be derived from your 24 words.
KMS / HSM custody
Server-held keys for automated agents are a future platform surface. Yap Signer remains self-custodial. That custody is not live.
Campaigns, groups, warmers, onramp
Campaign tooling, wallet groups, warmers, and onramp are product trailers only. They are not in the Chrome extension.
